Crafting Thoughtful Art
Explore our unique art, fine crafts, and jewelry designed to delight!
Halcyon Arts is a collaborative, women-owned, family art business comprised of mother, Tasia, and her daughters: Zahra, Zaynab and Safiya Islam.
They each have their niche, but creativity, a willingness to try new things, and a love for the natural world is the thread running through their work.
Fine Art
Painting
Bold acrylics on canvas, paper, or canvas board and vibrant watercolor on cotton paper. Abstraction, stylized natural elements, realistic florals and landscapes, and folk art motifs are all part of Tasia's artistic language. Paintings range in size from ATC (Artist Trading Card, 2 x 3 inch) to large format pieces beyond 24 x 24 inches.

Mixed Media & Fibers
Mixed media pieces that combine various techniques for stunning visual impact and creativity. Tasia's mixed media work ranges in size from 2 x 3 inch "Artist Trading Cards" up to 20 x 20 inch canvas-based pieces. Fibers work include crochet items and embroidery by Zahra; and weaving, embroidery and fabric collage by Tasia.
Printmaking from Halcyon Arts is created using hand carved block printing, monoprint, and collagraph techniques. Block printing is done on both paper and textiles for decorative and functional art. Prints are all originals and a limited run at this time.
